Description

This incredibly beautiful beach looks it has been built by design.
Nestling between its big brother and sister (north beach and south beach) it has everything for a perfect day with the family.

When the tide heads out away from the cliffs it links to south beach for a few hours, opening up a whole new vista and place to explore.

Tide times HERE.

Lifeguards patrol from late June until early September. Always say 'Hello' to the Lifeguards, as they are experts on ensuring you have a safe day and will give you any useful information.

The scenery is rich and varied. The historic fort on St Catherines Island is just off the beach in front of you, Caldey Island behind that, Tenby town and harbour right behind you, and Tenby Castle up above you on Castle Hill. With all the comings-and-goings of the boat ferrying passengers to and from Caldey Island, your eyes will not be bored.

You can walk, or swim to St Catherine's island, for a beautiful view of Tenby. Swimming around the island is great fun. There are several places where you can jump off the rocks from a height into the sea, and caves to explore.

If you fancy a break from the beach Tenby Museum and Art Gallery overlooks the beach and gives a wonderful history of the town through time. When you sit back on the beach it's easy to imagine the Spanish and Portuguese trading ships anchored offshore ferrying their exotic cargo to the beach.

The ruins of Tenby Castle, sitting above you on Castle Hill, give you beautiful views of the town, the beaches and out to sea. The photography from here is incredible. If you are there for sunset you will be in for a treat.

The merchant's houses sitting atop the limestone cliffs and the historic brightly coloured houses of Tenby behind, this is a stunning place to spend your day.

Castle Beach has been awarded a Blue Flag for its cleanliness and safety.

With toilets, showers and a cafe on the slipway, and plenty of cafes, pubs and shops a short walk away in Tenby, Castle Beach is one of my favourite beaches Around Tenby.

Dog Restrictions apply from 1st May to 30th September.
